Welcome to Bela Nombre!

We aim to provide the visitors of the town with the best experience possible. To ensure that you enjoy your stay to the fullest, we ask that you familiarize yourself with the rules and guidelines we all must follow to keep Bela Nombre safe, fun, and efficient.

General Rules

ALWAYS be kind and respectful to other members. While it is understood that situations do arise -- and we cannot stop that -- we ask that you refrain from causing conflicts (ie, confrontations, bashing, and all disrespectful behavior) on the public boards. Please keep all arguements not intended for the enjoyment of the RPG to the private messaging system.

DO NOT POST PERSONAL INFORMATION, such as names, addresses, school names, etc. This is basic internet safety, people.

Keep all language and content PG-13. Something may be questionable, in which case, use your better judgement. If a situation arises (in the RPG, for example), please be TASTEFUL about what you post. Please be considerate of younger members.

No double-posting, spamming to increase post count, or trolling. It's very immature, and this site comes fully equipped with an edit button. It would be to your better judgement to use it before a moderator does it for you.

If you break the rules, you suffer the consequences. There will be no unfair punishment, and therefore there should be no complaints. But I trust there won't be a problem with this.


RPG Rules

1. No god-modding or power playing. Do not control characters that do not belong to you. Ask permission before following through with a plot-related action, such as killing/injurying another character.

2. Use the OOC thread to discuss plot ideas. No OOC chat in the RPG threads -- those threads are for playing and playing only.

3. Use correct grammar, spelling and formatting in posts. If you have questions about how something should be formatted or spelled, please feel free to PM another member or a member of the administration staff. We will be pleased to help you in any way we can.

Inappropriate posts (including unapproved language, poor formatting/spelling/grammar, and/or god-modding will be editted and the member will be cautioned against futher indiscretions.

NOTE: This RPG is intended to be modern, and may involve beings such as vampyres, werewolves, sorceresses, shape-shifters, and whatever else you can dream up. While these beings are supernatural and there are many interpretations of their abilities and backgrounds, please try to be consistent in the development of YOUR character. Also use a bit of common sense when creating characters -- give them a weakness or a bad characteristic. NO ONE is perfect.

Believe me, the beautifully disfunctional characters are the most fun to play.


Graphic Guidelines:

Signatures: To access your signature options, click "Profile" (below the site header), then click "Signature" on the top right hand side.

Signature may be no larger that 500 characters. Images may be no larger than 500 pixels wide and 250 pixels high..

Avatars: To access your avatar options, click "Profile" (below the site header), then click "Avatar" on the top right hand side, directly next to the signature option.

Avatars may be no larger than 150x200 or 64 KB.

Graphics in posts: Please create a link for all graphics, unless they are placed in your signature. Placing pictures in posts slows down the site's reaction time, and we ask that you refrain from doing so.
